Overview On-Site inspection events are popular with both novice and seasoned inspectors, and provide a great opportunity to hone your inspection skills and discover what you might often overlook that is immediately apparent to your colleagues. You will also gain a better understanding of the ‘standard of care’ among local inspectors as you explore the nuts-and-bolts of the inspection process, sharing your experience and benefiting from the expertise of your fellow professionals. Discussion will focus on technical issues, as well as ways to discuss findings with clients and how to put findings into the written report.
Specifics Join us for a group review of a simple two-bedroom, one-bathroom home built in the 1930s with many updates over the years. Not to worry, it still has its share of concerns, many common for a house this age, others not so common. The house has a newer roof and a crawl space to visit. The electrical and plumbing systems are older with some upgrading. Let’s think about what additions a client might want to make, and what is a real concern versus the merely cosmetic.
